Forschungsinteressen

  • Herleitung von Kontinuumsgleichungen für aktive Suspensionen auf Basis mikroskopischer Beschreibungen von Mikroschwimmern inklusive hydrodynamischer Effekte

  • Einfluss von externen Feldern auf die Strukturbildung in Suspensionen von Mikroschwimmern

  • Organisation bakterieller Wirbelstrukturen durch geometrische Einschränkungen

  • Transporteigenschaten in Mesoskalen-Turbulenz

Methoden: Kontinuumstheorie, Fokker-Planck-Gleichung, numerische Lösung von Differentialgleichungen via Finite-Differenzen und spektralen Methoden, lineare Stabilitätsanalyse, schwach nichtlineare Analyse
