Feedback Control: quantum transport, thermodynamics, and phase transitions

I will review some of our e fforts to formulate and understand quantum feedback control for electronic transport, focussing on implementing feedback schemes in (quantum) master equations, their thermodynamical interpretation ('Maxwell demon'), and their relation to state-of-the-art experiments in nanostructures. In a second part, I will outline some ideas (possibly relevant to the second phase of our SFB) related to phase transitions in ground and excited states of quantum systems, and possibilities to combine quantum criticality with feedback control schemes.
