Time-delayed feedback control of simple quantum systems

Abstract:

We discuss the implementation of Pyragas-type feedback control, using stochastic equations for the evolution of the conditional density operators. Two systems are discussed: a linear system, where the scheme reproduces the classical Pyragas-feedback equations and microscopic expressions for quantum noise, and a non-linear system (qubit). In the outlook, we discuss potential applications of Pyragas-control to quantum chaos in simple quantum critical systems (Dicke model) that have a well-defined semiclassical limit.
