Marcel Hülsberg studied physics at TU Berlin. For his Bachelor's thesis, he investigated the chemotactic tumbling behaviour of bacteria in the group of Prof. Dr. Holger Stark. In the beginning of his Master's degree, Marcel spent one semester abroad at the University of Florida. His Master's thesis he wrote in the group of Dr. Christian Carbogno at the Fritz-Haber institute of the Max-Planck society, where he worked on a high-throughput scheme to predict thermal conductivities in complex IV-VI materials.
In his PhD, Marcel is currently researching the temporal depinning of confined colloidal dispersions under oscillatory shear.
