Research interests

We investigate systems that involve noise and time delays. In particular, we consider Brownian particles that are subject to continuous feedback control with a discrete time delay or distributed delay, focusing on:

  • Analytical treatment of stochastic delay differential equations
  • Analytical treatment of the non-Markovian Fokker-Planck equation for systems with memory, which is an infinite hierarchy of coupled equations
  • Stochastic Thermodynamics of delayed systems: Heat flux, entropy production, fluctuation relations
  • Numerical solutions (e.g., via Brownian dynamics simulations)
